Teffola | Bowls on the Fly
Teffola partnered with two women owned businesses, Frugal on the Fly and Fourteen East, to do some purposeful work in the City of Detroit! Remember Bowls for the Brave where we donated smoothie bowls topped with Teffola to frontline workers? We wanted to do something similar!
The idea behind Bowls on the Fly was to create a drive up breakfast fundraiser - we built bowls with yogurt, Teffola and fresh berries and bundled it with a cup of locally roasted Chazzano coffee for just $10. Proceeds from the event helped create an inviting 3rd floor play and learn space at a Detroit shelter for women veterans and their children. See photos of the delicious yogurt bowl and event on our Facebook page here.
Big thank you to sponsors Lipari Foods, Yoplait, Richard Lucido & Sons, BBC Distributing, and Greenspace Products for their generous support!
Our mission as a company is to encourage others to be bold & brave. This event fit right into how we practice that. The 3rd floor space of this shelter would be a space children could do virtual school or study and read. Women can use the space to apply for jobs, help their kids with homework or map out next steps. When people feel empowered to be bold and brave, they can make a positive impact.
